The Alzheimer’s Society Named as Key Charitable Supporter of The Alzheimer’s Show 2014

25 Nov 2013

The Alzheimer’s Society has been announced as a key charitable supporter of The Alzheimer’s Show 2014.

Highlighting the start of the Alzheimer’s Society’s annual Dementia Awareness Week, The Alzheimer's Show 2014 will take place at Olympia London from 16-17 May. Next year’s larger venue is in response to unprecedented visitor demand and to accommodate the expansion and scope of experts, exhibitors, presentations, workshops and seminars that will be at the show to provide practical support and advice to professional and family carers, and people looking to live well with dementia and its related conditions.

"Alzheimer's Society is pleased to be part of the Alzheimer's Show. All too often people affected by dementia can't get all the care and support they need. The show is one way of helping people find out more about the disease and how to live with it,” said Jeremy Hughes, Chief Executive Alzheimer’s Society.

The Alzheimer’s Show 2014 will build on the positive response and feedback from this year. Many of the exhibitors from 2013 will return and be joined by an even greater number of organisations looking to present the positive message that there are services and products available to support people living with or caring for someone with dementia.

SweetTree Home Care Services, an exhibitor from the 2013 show has signed up as the key event sponsor for 2014 and 2015. As Barry Sweetbaum of SweetTree Home Care Services explained. “Having been a part of The Alzheimer's Show in 2013, we know just how effectively the show environment can communicate with the hundreds of thousands of individuals, families and professionals having to deal with the challenges presented by dementia every day of their lives.”

“To have the support of the Alzheimer’s Society is a major endorsement for the quality and breadth of support The Alzheimer’s Show offers to professionals and members of the public,” continued Barry Sweetbaum of SweetTree Home Care Services.

There will be many new interactive features in 2014 and The Alzheimer’s Show is looking for businesses and organisations to showcase their products and services.
Already, 50% of exhibition space has been taken, with exhibitors including care homes, respite care, assistive technology, charities, legal and cognitive therapy. Anyone interested in exhibiting should contact Nigel Ward, Event Director on 01892 723 195 / 07783 460 588

Visitor tickets will be available from 1 February 2014. Details will be made available in the New Year.
