London Bridal Show expands due to exhibitor demand
The 2016 London Bridal Show – the first main show on the buying calendar – is due to increase in size when it kicks off the season at Olympia London, 6-8 March. Retailers looking for first choice, and early deliveries, are in for a serious treat.
In an action-packed three days, the bridal industry will be buzzing as the latest trends and looks that promise to be the new season’s best-sellers go on show for the very first time. More than 150 collections have already confirmed their space at this key event, with even more expected to fill the glamorous aisles at Olympia London.
Retailers who recognize the value of being ahead of the game are already registering for the show, which, for the first time, will include a programme of spectacular catwalk shows, designed to excite, inspire and educate. The latest addition to the London Bridal Show, there will be two staged performances each day, bringing together the looks that count and the latest in styling possibilities. Tickets are not necessary for the fashion shows, but the volume of enquiries that show organiser Ocean Media has already received, suggest that visitors pick their time in advance and allow extra to grab a good seat.
And there will be much to see as the first of the 2017 collections are unveiled. The ‘customisation’ trend is one that designers and manufacturers are giving real attention to, which not only fulfills every bride’s dream of multiple looks of their big day, but also gives stockists the opportunity to maximize of sales potential.
Look out for the freshest new talents in bridal waiting to be discovered, names that will be big news tomorrow and key influences in the years to come. They’ll be showing alongside some of the biggest names in the business, whose production has been planned to allow for early deliveries to their stockists – as retailers know only too well, the autumn and winter months are now prime selling times and having the newest samples and latest looks in store then will give them an edge.
The Monday of the 2016 edition of The London Bridal Show will feature a programme of sales-enhancing seminars – one of which will look at getting the best from your awards entry submissions – not just the Bridal Buyer Awards, but those arranged by local councils recognizing successful entrepreneurs and retail professionals. The other seminar, which promises to be equally valuable to those owning and running a business, will cover retailers own most frequently asked questions – covering everything from cashflow management to attention-grabbing window displays. There’ll be a whole team of experts ready to pass on top-level advice and suggestion.
