The Meetings Show returns to Olympia London for second year
Olympia London is delighted to host the Meetings Show for the second year running. Organised by Centaur Exhibitions, The Meetings Show takes place on 8-10 July 2014 at Olympia London, which is Destination Partner for the event.
The major event for the UK inbound and outbound meetings industry takes place at the Conference Centre and level One of Olympia West and Olympia Central. The Conference Centre, shortlisted for Best Mid-Sized Conference Venue Customer Service at the upcoming Conference Awards, will be the event’s Education hub, presenting leading industry keynotes, seminars and Meet the Expert round tables. Providing a quiet focus point away from the busy exhibition show room floors, the Conference Centre is ideally suited for the industry’s brain trust to debate key issues and concerns. Within the same venue, the interconnected spaces of Olympia West and Olympia Central will play host to 400 exhibiting companies, allowing visitors to quickly and efficiently meet stakeholders including major domestic and international destinations, venues, hotel groups, trade associations and suppliers.
A unique feature of The Meetings Show is the Hosted Buyer Programme, bringing together buyers from the corporate, association, agency and public sectors. Destinations exhibiting in 2014 include: Dubai, Norway, Turkey and Portugal on the international side with domestic representation from Birmingham, Cardiff, Liverpool, London and Scotland. More than 6,740 pre-scheduled appointments took place through the hosted buyer programme in 2013 and Centaur expects this figure will rise to more than 10,000 this year.
