The Mind Body Spirit London Wellbeing Festival is back with a new look and feel
The Mind Body Spirit London Wellbeing Festival returns to Olympia London with a new look and feel, but the same dedication to helping visitors experience optimal health, from the inside out.
Taking place from 29 April-2 May 2016, this feel-good festival will showcase the latest in wellbeing, nutrition, mediation, yoga, personal empowerment and motivation.
Mind Body Spirit London Wellbeing Festival, Managing Director, Mel Carlile said, “Since our inception in 1977, we’ve been committed to offering an open-minded and encouraging environment for our visitors to explore a healthier, more empowered lifestyle.”
A large societal shift towards healthy living has been seen in the past 12 months. In-line with this, The Mind Body Spirit London Wellbeing Festival endeavours to provide a platform for people to recognise the value in taking time to focus on their own mental and physical wellbeing.
Mel explains, “Recently people are being drawn towards personal empowerment and conscious lifestyle choices. They are asking questions such as ‘what’s the deal with crystals?’, ‘how can I fit meditation into my daily routine?’ and ‘what could a raw food diet do for me?’. That’s exactly why the festival was initially founded; to address these questions and, for the past 39 years, offer visitors somewhere to connect with like-minded people to explore the latest ideas in the world of wellbeing, health, human potential and artistic expression.”
Visitors can take part in a range of workshops, led by some of the world’s most cutting edge teachers and soak up both artistic and musical performances on the live stage. They can also take part in free interactive classes before letting their hair down and their inhibitions go at the silent disco.
The event will also feature a wellbeing spa, mantra lounge, pop-up temple and a marketplace of more than 120 exhibitors—including The Henna Den, a favourite of The Voice judge, Paloma Faith.
Each day, several speakers will take to the stage for a variety of interactive and informative sessions, for example:
• The next big thing in fitness—a boxing/ yoga fusion taught by Andrea Teja & Chris Roberts has everyone from fighters and athletes to nurses and traditional yogis excited;
• Don’t wait for it, create it! That’s the message Jo Westwood & Lucy Sheridan will be sharing during their #higherselfie session as they teach visitors the foundations of living creatively and doing what you love, regardless of credentials;
• Following his transformation from drug addict and dealer to life coach, Brett Moran will share his story whilst providing real life tools and insights to becoming happy, enlightened and free in this modern world;
• Visitors can learn how to detox the fun way with Tanya Maher, the owner of Tanya’s organic restaurant and superfood cocktail bar. She’ll dispel the myths of painful detoxing and provide tips for a gentle, yet effective cleanse that visitors will be itching to get started at home;
