Olympia Conference Centre sets sights abroad

Olympia Conference Centre is overseas bound, as the venue prepares to exhibit at its first international event expo, EIBTM 2014, the global meetings and events expo. Olympia Conference Centre makes its debut at the event from 18 to 20 November at the London & Partners stand and joins a clutch of pre-eminent venues and hotels selected to showcase the rich diversity the UK capital has to offer as a global meetings and events destination.

Presence at the not to be missed international event of the year follows a successful few months for Olympia London. Not only have several of the UK’s leading shows recently been confirmed, but the venue has made an impact on the international events market. This October, international business elite, political leaders including Boris Johnson and royalty converged on Olympia for MIPIM, the first UK edition of the Cannes based commercial property show. At Olympia Conference Centre, there have also been significant new wins in conferences aimed at the international delegate. These include the first Turkish Elections for Turkish citizens living in the UK and Austere Medical Environments, one of the many medical conferences which are fast turning London into the international hub for medical industry congresses.

Olympia’s presence at EIBTM follows Prime Minister David Cameron’s recent pledge to support the growth of the UK as a meetings and events destination. Speaking last month Cameron credited the industry’s “significant contribution to the economy”.
