We are embedded in the local community and work together with our fellow residents.
Olympia London is sited in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, and very close to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
Our venue director, Gillian Kiamil, attends residents meetings throughout the year, liaising with Residents’ Committees to discuss any business matters and to share any concerns that might affect the community in general.
We are in partnership with residents. A principal focus is to reduce the impact of any additional sound, light and traffic. This is achieved by educating our event managers, organisers and contract staff, and reacting promptly and decisively to any concerns raised.
Olympia London also aims to make a positive impact beyond the actual venues.
We have worked on a number of local projects which have benefited the surrounding area:
- Before the major improvements brought in by the London Overground service, we worked closely with the West London Line Group to prevent the suspension, and to increase the frequency, of trains to West Brompton and Kensington (Olympia)
- The Kensington and Chelsea Good Citizen Awards ceremony was held at Olympia
- We created a community garden in Hounslow by donating a wooden colonnade, garden furniture and parasols from exhibitions held at our venues
- We've donated 21 tonnes of carpet from our venues to Blenheim Palace for the Triathlon over the past 4 years
In this ongoing residential relationship, we look forward to many more inventive and beneficial projects to come.
We value the welfare of our local neighbours and encourage you to contact us with any concerns. Our office hours are 9am to 5.30pm, but if you need to contact us in an emergency, outside of these hours, please call 020 7598 2572.
