How to incorporate Christmas in your conferencing

'tis the season for conferencing...

Nov 2016

December is a great time of year to hold a conference, it's the perfect occasion to celebrate success and discuss opportunity for the New Year. And what better way to incorporate Christmas cheer than through your catering? To spread that festive feeling our caterers, Levy Restaurants UK, have some ideas to delight your delegates, as well as an alternative to the classic Turkey Christmas Dinner.

1. Non-traditional teas & coffees
Nothing says Christmas like a hot chocolate complete with toppings like marshmallows, cinnamon or candy cane. Hazelnut or salted caramel syrups are indulgent extras, while no hot beverage bar would be complete without serving mulled wine or spiced cider. This layout ensures there will be something for all your delegates to enjoy while spicing up a traditional teas & coffees DDR package.

2. The main event
Turkey with cranberry sauce is a traditional classic, but for delegates attending events throughout the season something a little different to inspire their taste buds might be much appreciated. Try serving festive mini buns filled with roasted pork, apple sauce and cranberry and chestnut stuffing for a fun culinary Christmas twist. Mini buns are also perfect handful-size for delegates to manage, so they can focus on meeting new contacts and mingling with peers.

3. Room for dessert?
Dessert is the perfect place to showcase creativity and let delegates to get stuck in. Set up a sweet station so guests can toast their own marshmallows and add a variety of toppings such as white or dark chocolate, caramel sauce, seasonal chopped nuts or multigrain seeds. This DIY alternative means delegates can have a little fun handcrafting their own dessert before attentions return to the afternoon sessions.
