A record number of new shows have been popping up like Spring daffodils at Olympia London’s newest spaces, West and Central. Since the beginning of the year to March 31st 2015, a total of six new shows have taken place, indicating that organisers from established to start-up are increasingly turning to Olympia London for events to flourish in.
Exhibitors and visitors have praised the ‘premium atmosphere’ of PUB15, the new show from organisers at SME London, held at Olympia London in February. Created as the first free to attend event for the modern day publican and pub entrepreneur to discover trends and make connections to grow their business, PUB attracted over 3,000 visitors. Its popularity was particularly visible at ‘thriving local’, the Business Theatre where top chef, Tom Kerridge was amongst the stimulating speakers drawing a crowd.
Luke Perry, Event Director for PUB15 at SME London said: “Olympia London was ideal for PUB15, it’s modern, has natural daylight and it was accessible for our delegates coming from pubs all over the UK into London. We’re elated with the response to the show in its first year and we look forward to developing and improving our offering at the same venue ready for 2016.”
Post the successful launch this year of the Dubai Property Show, organisers at Sumansa Exhibitions are buoyant about the prospects for the Indian Property Show (Olympia London from 25-26 April), the event targeted at those wanting to buy or invest in India. “The first edition of the Dubai Property show was a success and we were very happy with the overall experience and footfall,” said Sunil Jaiswal, President, Sumansa Exhibitions. “We chose Olympia London because it is centrally located and easily accessible having its own dedicated rail station.”
Head of Sales at Olympia London, Nick Graham said: “Olympia is thriving. Olympia West and Central have attracted the largest number of bookings we’ve seen since our £30 million investment. These spaces are ideally suited to young shows with the potential to grow within Olympia’s seven spaces.
“We’re also encouraged by the quality of new shows coming through our doors and by new co-locations, such as Retail Design Expo and Craft. We are enjoying working creatively and flexibly with our organisers to achieve, in some cases, some very rapid expansions for new shows.”

The six new shows that have taken place during the first quarter of 2015 and which were all held at Olympia West or Olympia Central are: PUB15, (SME London), Good Food Show Eat Well (River Street Events), The Dubai Property Show (Sumansa Exhibitions), Retail Design Expo (Legend Exhibitions Limited) which was held at Olympia West and co-located with Retail Business Technology Expo in Olympia Grand, Craft 15 (Clarion) and Metrorail (Terrapinn).
