The global hub of the publishing world
The global hub of the publishing world will once again be Olympia London this spring, with The London Book Fair returning to the venue.

More than 25,000 publishing professionals will come together between April 18-20 to define the future of what we read and watch from print, digital, audio, TV and film.

The global book publishing industry is estimated to be worth $96.1bn*. 1,700 different speakers and exhibitors will be present from over 100 countries at this event which drives the publishing industry internationally.

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, will be on stage in conversation with Young Vic Artistic Director, Kwame Kwei-Armah, to discuss London’s role as a creative force in a journey to a more sustainable future. This is ahead of the launch of his new book: Breathe: Tackling the Climate Emergency

Khan commented: “I’m delighted to attend this year’s London Book Fair and engage with an industry that is so important to London’s cultural vibrancy and the UK’s creative economy. Cities like London are leading from the front in taking action to tackle the climate emergency – and I look forward to discussing how we can all play a part in building a greener future.”

The spotlight country for the 2023 event is Ukraine, with seminars exploring the role literature plays in the fight against misinformation as well as the battle for democracy. Ukrainian authors will be able to tell their stories at the global publishing event.
