Olympia and Earls Court announce new roles

Earls Court and Olympia are delighted to announce a raft of new appointments within its award-winning customer-services team. Stuart Tomlinson most recently served as a Contract and Event Manager at Earls Court and has now been appointed Head of Events at the venue while Sarah Elton-Wall, formerly Senior Event Manager at Earls Court has accepted the position of Head of Conferences across both venues.

They both bring years of experience in various sectors and have started their new roles with immediate effect.

Charlotte and Valegro return with bang and a world record at Olympia, The London International Horse Show

On their first appearance since winning team and individual gold medals at the London Olympic Games, Charlotte Dujardin (GBR) and Valegro not only blew away the opposition in the Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage Leg supported by Horse & Hound, but also gained a new World grand prix record score in doing so. 

The pair gained a score of 84.447% which beat their Olympic score of 83.66% and the previous World record of 84.08%, set by Edward Gal and Totilas at the European Championship at Windsor in 2009. The score also won the class by a margin of 8%.

Brilliant Barker targets 2013 World title - Londoner aims for huge fights next year after Hope demolition

Darren Barker reignited his World title ambitions with a brutal four round demolition job on Kerry Hope in the Betfair ‘Christmas Cracker’ at the London Olympia on Saturday night (8 December).

Barker was boxing for the first time in 14 months since bravely challenging Sergio Martinez in Atlantic City and against fellow former European champion Hope he dispelled any question that his time out had diminished his talents as he unveiled a spiteful punching Darren Barker to compliment his trademark style and technical ability.

EC&O teams up with local children's initiative to celebrate 10 years of charitable work

This year EC&O (Earls Court and Olympia) is delighted to be celebrating the tenth anniversary of its Charitable Trust. During the past decade the trust has donated more than £200,000 to local causes and to celebrate this landmark year the trustees have teamed up with a new campaign by Hammersmith and Fulham Council that aims to provide support for children in care; the Opportunity Fund.

Olympia's Conference Centre team receives 95% rating ahead of re-opening in September

Olympia Conference Centre’s event management team has secured an outstanding 95% rating from organisers via independent post event research.  The exceptional feedback comes just weeks ahead of the conference centre’s re-opening following a multi-million pound refurbishment of the Olympia Two building.

The 2012 ratings acknowledge the team’s responsiveness in planning stages, ability to get things done, availability on site and rapport.

Winner of the Olympia 125th Anniversary Competition Announced at Spirit of Summer Fair

The highly-anticipated winning design in Olympia’s 125th Anniversary art competition has been unveiled. The piece - by Winchester-based graphic designer Paul Hicks - was regarded the unanimous winner by a panel of judges that included artists Rob Ryan and Sanna Annukka, as well as art luminary Paul Stolper and branding agency Form. Paul’s piece forms the fourth in a series that includes commissioned commemorative designs by Peter Blake, Rob Ryan and Sanna Annukka.
