This free-to-attend trade show is the largest and most popular event for the cultural sector and brings together all the latest technologies, services, thinking and ideas for anyone working in museums, galleries, heritage and cultural visitor attractions.
The 2013 show hosted the most comprehensive seminar programme in the industry with leading experts, case studies, advice and solutions, and was the best show to date with over 2000 visitors across two days.
The Museums + Heritage Show had been on the venues' portfolio since 2004 but had always taken place in Earls Court’s Brompton Hall. The 2013 show however saw a move to the newly renovated Olympia West; a brand new space for the event with a completely new layout.
The move to Olympia West saved costs and also gave exhibitors step-free access throughout the show, but the organisers were faced with having to completely rethink the stand layout and also convince their loyal exhibitors that the move was a positive one.
Sara Bowen, Event Manager for the Museums + Heritage Show said:
“Despite using Earls Court for a number of years, we felt that now was the perfect time to relocate the show to a more contemporary and versatile venue. The Earls Court and Olympia team were hugely resourceful in helping us revamp the layout to our event and as a result, we had the biggest and best show to date.
We found the new space that Olympia West had to offer extremely flexible, and we were able to build seminar rooms that ran alongside the main exhibition space with ease.
Olympia West is the perfect venue for a show wanting to grow with its multi-level layout and, although we only used the one level this year, we hope to expand the show going forward."
